What Needs To Be Done: Six Stories of Built to Last

  • Esperanza Arts Center 4261 North 5th Street Philadelphia, PA, 19140 United States (map)

HERE 4 Climate Justice co-sponsored this event to bring attention to the widespread need for comprehensive home repair in Philadelphia. The short documentary featured interviews with six Hunting Park homeowners who received repairs through the Philadelphia Energy Authority’s Built to Last (BTL) program. The BTL program seeks to address the challenges of affordability of essential home repairs, utility costs, weatherization, and the environmental crisis all in one.

Following the screening, there was a panel discussion and Q&A with interviewees, program administrators, and policy makers.

The event was co-sponsored by Physicians for Social Responsibility PA, Hunting Park NAC, HERE 4 Climate Justice, and Sierra Club PA.
